4°C Do Not FreezeSix-transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate (STEAP) is expressed predominantly in human prostate tissue and in other common malignancies including prostate, bladder, colon, and ovarian carcinomas, and in Ewing's sarcoma, suggesting that it could function as an almost universal tumor antigen. Immunohistochemical analysis indicated STEAP-1 localization at cell-cell junctions of the secretory epithelium of prostate and prostate cancer cells. The favorable expression profiling of STEAP-1 in normal and cancer tissues suggested its potential use as a target for immunotherapy.||Applications:|Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Heat induced antigen retrieval in 0.1M citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Hybridoma:|F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
