CD1a is a ~49kDa single pass type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein containing a single Ig-like domain, expressed in association with beta 2 microglobulin. CD1a is expressed strongly by cortical thymocytes, and also by Langerhans cells and interdigitating cells. CD1a is involved in the presentation of lipids and glycolipids to NK cells.||Applications:|Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. ||Recommended Dilution:|Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. ||Hybridoma: |NS1/Ag4.1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.||Positive Control for Immunohistochemistry:|Skin||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. |For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. ||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
