4°C Do Not FreezeThe protein encoded by this gene is a cell-surface glycoprotein involved in cell-cell interactions, cell adhesion and migration. It is a receptor for hyaluronic acid (HA) and can also interact with other ligands, such as osteopontin, collagens, and matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). This protein participates in a wide variety of cellular functions including lymphocyte activation, recirculation and homing, hematopoiesis, and tumor metastasis. Transcripts for this gene undergo complex alternative splicing that results in many functionally distinct isoforms, however, the full length nature of some of these variants has not been determined. Alternative splicing is the basis for the structural and functional diversity of this protein, and may be related to tumor metastasis.||Applications:|Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry (Not Tested), FLISA.||Recommended Dilution:|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. ||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C with glycerol. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Do not freeze APC conjugates. Light sensitive.||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
