4°C Do Not FreezeHistone methylation occurs on arginine and lysine residues and is catalyzed by two families of proteins, the protein arginine methyltransferase family and the SET-domain-containing methyltransferase family. Five members have been identified in the arginine methyltransferase family. About 27 are grouped into the SET-domain family, and another 17 make up the PR domain family that is related to the SET domain family. The retinoblastoma protein-interacting zinc finger gene RIZ1 is a tumor suppressor gene and the founding member of the PR domain family. PRDM12 (PR domain zinc finger protein 12) also acts as a tumor suppressor and is linked to the pathogenesis of chronic myeloid leukemia. PRDM12 is also thought to play a role in transcriptional regulation.||Applications:|Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Positive Control:|Human liver tissue lysate||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. ||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
