Biological Activity
Recombinant Murine M-CSF Protein (HEK 293) is a powerful hematopoietic factor produced by lymphocytes, monocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, myoblasts and osteoblasts. M-CSF plays an important role in regulating dermal thickness and fertility. M-CSF is used in the treatment of infections, malignant tumors and atherosclerosis. It promotes the recovery of hematopoietic function after bone marrow transplantation.
Depends on stimulating the proliferation of M-NFS-60 cells in a dose-dependent manner ED50 ≤1.0 ng/ml, corresponding to specific activity ≥1×106 IU/mg.
DNA sequence encoding mouse M-CSF (NP_031804.3) expressed with a His tag at the C-terminus.
Recombinant mouse M-CSF protein contains 161 amino acids with a predicted theoretical molecular weight of 18.9kD.
