CD79a, also known as mb-1, is a 45kD protein that is expressed by B lymphocytes during differentiation from early pre-B cell stage through to plasma cells. The CD79a molecule associates with CD79b (B29) to form a heterodimer that is non-covalently linked to surface immunoglobulin, forming the B-cell receptor (BCR) complex. The CD79a/CD79b heterodimers are also necessary for intracellular signalling following antigen-binding to surface immunoglobulin.||Applications:|Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. ||Recommended Dilutions:|Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Membrane permeabilization is required.|Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. ||Hybridoma: |Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice.||Positive control:|Human tonsil||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
