Vigna radiata (VRA) (Semi-Pure)

Fractionated VRA agglutinates rabbit blood cells and is galactose-specific. Amino acid analysis of the purified mung bean lectin by reverse phase HPLC revealed that it contains glutamate in highest proportion followed by aspartate and histidine, indicating that it has a good zinc binding potential. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
