A through-flow µ-slide for bifurcation studies and blood vessel simulation.
Features:
- Perfect simulation of real conditions in branched blood vessels: 30° and 45° angles to simulate blood vessel bifurcation. The angles are different on each side of the blade (45° on the left side and 30° on the right side)
- Allows flows in two different directions at a different angle
- Easy connection to tubes and pumps
- Fully compatible with high resolution microscopy and immunofluorescence staining
- Defined levels of shear stress and shear rate
- Flow is always laminar, i.e. turbulent flow is not possible.
Applications:
- Rolling and adhesion of leukocytes on cultured endothelial cells under flow
- Simulation of blood vessel bifurcation for arteriosclerosis research
- Studies of cell-cell interactions and screening of cell-drug interactions under flow conditions
