SARS-CoV-2 - ELISA kits - Antibodies - IgG

The newly identified coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2 (2019-nCoV), led to pneumonia (COVID-19). SARS-CoV-2 belongs to the genus of beta coronaviruses, which also includes the SARS CoV (2003) and the MERS CoV (2012). Like all other coronaviruses, the SARS-CoV-2 genome (2019-nCoV) codes for the spike protein, envelope protein, membrane protein and nucleocapsid protein.
During a viral infection, the immune system sets out to fight it through several pathways.
The immune response pattern against CoV-2-SARS is as follows. IgM antibody levels begin to rise about a week after the initial infection, while IgG antibodies appear later than IgM antibodies (usually within 14 days of infection) and may last 6 months to several years, which means that IgG antibodies serve as an indicator of a previous infection. Patients who are infected with SARS-CoV-2 can be quickly identified by simultaneous IgM and IgG monitoring.
Our ELISA kits can detect IgM and/or IgG directed against SARS-CoV-2 antigens.
