Sample Type:|Cell culture||Excitation/Emission:|488nm/515nm||Method of Analysis:|Flow Cytometry, Fluorescence Microscope, Fluorescence Plate Reader||Intended Use:|Nitric Oxide Synthase Assay provides a good screening option for assessing the potency of nitrosative stress inhibitor and activator reagents, and will help to determine how oxidative and nitrosative stress modulates varied intracellular pathways. This BioAssay™ kit assesses the overall intracellular levels of free nitric oxide and NOS using a Diaminofluorescein-2 Diacetate (DAF-2DA) dye. Results can be analyzed using a flow cytometer, fluorescence plate reader, or fluorescence microscope.||Not for sale in Japan.||Test Principle:|Nitric oxide synthases are a family of enzymes capable of catalyzing the production of nitric oxide (NO). NO is an important molecule that is involved in regulating a variety of cellular processes such as angiogenesis, peristalsis, and the immune response to invading pathogens. Reactive nitrogen species are a family of antimicrobial molecules derived from NO and superoxide through the enzymatic activities of nitric oxide synthase (NOS).||Nitric Oxide Synthase BioAssay™ provides a good screening option for assessing the potency of nitrosative stress inhibitor and activator reagents, and will help to determine how oxidative and nitrosative stress modulates varied intracellular pathways. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
