How It Works ? 

The Neolux process relies on the fluorescent biosensor's increased fluorescence during photoinduction by light. Initially, the biosensor passively enters cells but is rapidly expelled by functional cells, maintaining a low signal. Upon light application, ROSs are generated, disrupting cell homeostasis and enabling the biosensor's massive entry, increasing fluorescence. In cells pre-exposed to toxic substances that impair function, the biosensor accumulates massively, producing a high fluorescence signal without further increase after light application.
