We are delighted to announce that Clinisciences will be participating in the "Manchester Structural Biology Symposium," which will be held on 11th September at the Michael Smith Lecture Theatre & Lounge, University of Manchester, in Manchester, England.

The University of Manchester is one of the United Kingdom's leading higher education institutions, renowned for its academic excellence, innovative research, and rich history. The university boasts a diverse and dynamic community, with students and staff from around the globe contributing to its inclusive and forward-thinking environment. It offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across various disciplines, from humanities and social sciences to engineering, science, and medicine.

The Manchester Structural Biology Symposium is an annual event that brings together leading scientists, researchers, and students from around the world to discuss the latest advances and discoveries in the field of structural biology.

This symposium provides a platform for sharing cutting-edge research, fostering collaboration, and promoting the exchange of ideas among experts and emerging scientists.

The Manchester Structural Biology Symposium aims to :

  • Highlighting the world-class range of structural biology groups here at the University of Manchester.
  • Advance the understanding of the molecular structures and mechanisms that underlie biological processes.
  • Showcasing the latest discoveries, technological innovations, and methodological advancements in structural biology, including developments in cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, and computational modeling.
  • Identifying emerging trends and future directions in structural biology research, and discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the quest to understand the molecular basis of life.

It will also be an opportunity for early career researchers (Postdocs & PDRAs) to present their work.

We are honoured to announce that the Plenary Speaker will be Professor Simon Newstead from Oxford University, a distinguished researcher known for his work in membrane protein biochemistry.

The symposium promises to be an exciting and informative event, offering attendees the opportunity to engage with leading experts and gain insights into the latest research and developments in structural biology.
