:: | Cellular Location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Basolateral cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Endosome membrane. Cell membrane, sarcolemma; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell projection. Note=Activation of the vasopressin receptor AVPR1A triggers AQP4 phosphorylation at Ser-180 and promotes its internalization from the cell membrane. Detected on brain astrocyte processes and astrocyte endfeet close to capillaries. Tissue Location: Detected in brain cortex, especially around cortical blood vessels, and subjacent to pia, with lower levels in parenchymal membranes. Detected in ependymal and astroglial cells in brain. Detected in supporting Hensen's cells, inner sulcus cells and Claudius cells in the inner ear. Detected in skeletal muscle. Detected in gastric parietal cells. Detected in principal cells in collecting ducts in kidney medulla (at protein level). Detected in brain, heart and skeletal muscle. |
Reconstitution and Storage | Store at -20°C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4°C. |
