ATG16L1 (Autophagy Related Protein 16 Like Protein 1, IBD10, WDR30, APG16L, ATG16A, ATG16L)

The protein encoded by this gene is part of a large protein complex that is necessary for autophagy, the major process by which intracellular components are targeted to lysosomes for degradation. Defects in this gene are a cause of susceptibility to inflammatory bowel disease type 10 (IBD10). Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000|Immunohistochemistry: 1:50- 1:200|Immunofluorescence: 1:50- 1:200|Immunoprecipitation: 1:20- 1:50|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Storage and Stability: |May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
