Maackia amurensis (MAA/MAL II)

Maackia amurensis Lectin (MAA/MAL II) is affinty puried hemagglutinating lectin and can be used to detect O-linked glycans containing the trisaccharide Siaalpha2-3Galbeta1-3GalNAc. This lectin does not agglutinate one blood type more than another and agglutination can be inhibited by lactose at high concentrations. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
