96 Tests PN: B311169
Components:
45x Ab-conjugated beads (S4P11 - Rat IL-12p40 Ab-bead). PN: B311169A. One vial containing 100 µL of anti-rat IL-12p40 conjugated to AimPlex Bead S4P11.
25x Biotin-detection Ab (Rat IL-12p40 Biotin-dAb). PN: B311169B. One vial containing 100 µL of biotinylated anti-rat IL-12p40.
Lyophilized Standard Mix - Rat Group 2 Panel A, 6-Plex. PN: RG20006. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant rat RANKL, IL-12p40, IL-15, Leptin, NGFb, and VEGF. Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.
Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying Rat IL-12p40/IL-23p40 . Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Rat Group 2. To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex Mouse/Rat Basic Kit (PN: P200201) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.
Storage: 2-8 C in the dark.
Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Description:
Interleukin 12p40 (Accession Q9R278) has a molecular weight of 40kDa. IL-12 is a T cell stimulating factor and aids in naïve T cell differentiation into Th1 cells. It also mediates NK cells and CD8+ T cells. IL-12, by increasing production of IFN-γ which in turn increases production of IP-10 exerts anti-angiogenic properties. IL-23 is closely related to IL-12 in structure as it shares the p40 subunit. IL-12 is linked to autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease though it may inhibit food allergy susceptibility. It also plays an integral role in the immunity against M. tuberculosis.
