4°C (-20°C Glycerol)HSPB8 (heat shock protein beta-8), otherwise known as HSP22, a monomeric protein and member of the small heat shock protein (HSP20) family, which displays temperature dependent chaperone activity. HSPB8 is predominantly expressed in the heart and skeletal muscle, and defects in HSPB8 are responsible for the neuromuscular disorder distal hereditary motor neuronopathy type 2A (HMN2A), and the axonal CMT neuropathy Charcot Marie Tooth disease type 2L (CMT2L).||Application(s):|Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|Western Blot: ~20-25kD band seen in Human Muscle lysate [Predicted MW of ~22kD according to NP_055180]. |Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Positive Control:|Human Muscle lysate||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
