SARS-CoV-2 - COVID-19 positive serum
A new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2 / 2019-nCoV) close to the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Virus (MERS) was discovered in early January in the city of Wuhan, China.
The symptoms of this new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) are similar to those of seasonal influenza, SARS or MERS. Transmission and incubation time also appear to be similar to those of other coronaviruses. The SARS-CoV-2 (2019-nCoV) coronavirus appears to be slightly more contagious than seasonal influenza virus and its infection is slightly more severe in susceptible individuals.
We offer a range of COVID-19 positive specimens. The categories below include serum and plasma specimens from patients diagnosed as COVID-19 positive, but we provide COVID-19 positive biological specimens from a variety of sources.
We now have access to a wide selection of COVID-19 positive (CoV-2 SARS infected) patient specimens:
- PBMC, cryopreserved plasma and serum (paired samples available)
- Residual nasopharyngeal swabs covering all pathogens in the respiratory panel
- Blood Samples from Donors Confirmed Positive for VIDOC-19
- Blood Samples from Confirmed Donors Cured of VIDOC-19
