UltraCruz^® Syringe Filter is suitable for filtering non-aggressive aqueous and mild organic solutions such as buffers, tissue culture media, or additives. Typical Syringe Filter applications are clarification, sterile filtration, purification, sample preparation, and sterile venting. Syringe Filters are attached to the end of a syringe to remove particles from a sample prior to analysis by methods such as HPLC, ion chromatography, gas chromatography, ICP, and dissolution testing. Proper filtration of samples improves the quality and consistency of analytical results. Hydrophilic PVDF Syringe Filters are ideal for minimizing protein loss associated with the filtering process. Other material options include MCE, PTFE, PES, and SFCA. They feature a 0.10, 0.22, or 0.45 µm pore size; a 13 mm, 25 mm, or 30 mm diameter; a polyvinylidene fluoride membrane; and a polypropylene housing. Filters are individually packed and sterilized by gamma irradiation making them non-pyrogenic, RNA-free, and DNA-free. A luer-lock connection allows the filters to easily attach to UltraCruz^® Syringes.
