Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) Assay Kit is an assay kit designed for the detection and quantification of Alkaline Phosphatase activity in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and cell lysates using a microplate reader. Alkaline phosphatase decomposes benzene disodium phosphate to produce free phenol and phosphoric acid. Phenol react with 4-aminopyrline in alkaline solution and oxidizes with potassium ferricyanide to form a red quinone derivative. The enzyme activity can be calculated indirectly by measuring the OD value at 520 nm.
