Iodonitrotetrazolium chloride, a tetrazolium dye also known as INT, serves as an electron acceptor for the colorimetric determination of various dehydrogenases, e.g. for the detection of LDH (1).
For the colorimetric measurement of the enzymatic hydrolysis of the terminal galactose of GM1 ganglioside (2). INT forms a purple formazan dye during reduction.
