Free Fatty Acid (FFA) Assay Kit for detection of non-esterified free fatty acids (NEFA) in tissue homogenates and cell lysates using a microplate reader. In weak acidic conditions, non-esterified free fatty acids react with nantokite to form copper soap, which has an absorption maxima at 715 nm. The concentration of non-esterified free fatty acids can be calculated indirectly by measuring the absorbance at 715 nm.
