Thy1 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [Clone ID: OX-7]
Specifications
Product Data | |
Clone Name | OX-7 |
Applications | FC, IHC, IP, WB |
Recommended Dilution | Western Blot. Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry on Frozen Sections. Flow Cytometry: Use 10 µl of 1/40-1/80 diluted antibody to label 10e6 cells in 100 µl (Routinely tested on Rat thymocytes). |
Reactivities | Guinea Pig, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat |
Host | Mouse |
Isotype | IgG1 |
Clonality | Monoclonal |
Immunogen | Rat Thy1 antigen. |
Specificity | This antibody recognizes Rat and Mouse CD90, also known as Thy1.1. Since Thy1.1 is a monomorphic determinant in Rat but polymorphic in Mice, clone MRC OX-7 reacts with Thy1.1 Mice e.g. AKR and FVB Mice, but not Thy1.2 Mice such as CBA and BALB/c. Clone MRC OX-7 has been demonstrated to promote neurite outgrowths on peripherin-stained sympathetic neurons, using fluorescence microscopy. This clone has been reported to induce glomerular nephritis in Wistar Rats. |
Formulation | PBS, pH 7.2 without preservatives State: Low Endotoxin State: Liquid purified IgG fraction |
Concentration | lot specific |
Purification | Affinity Chromatography on Protein G |
Conjugation | Unconjugated |
Storage | Store the antibody undiluted at -20°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. |
Stability | Shelf life: one year from despatch. |
Gene Name | thymus cell antigen 1, theta |
