Total Glutathione/Oxidized Glutathione BioAssay™ Kit

Glutathione is widely distributed in the body. It plays a direct or indirect role in many important biological phenomena, such as mechanism of enzyme reaction, synthesis of biomacromolecules (such as protein and DNA), intermediate metabolism, radiation, tumor, immune, environmental toxins, aging and so on.||The Total Glutathione/Oxidized Glutathione BioAssay™ Kit can be used to measure total glutathione (T-GSH) and oxidized glutathione (GSSG) content in serum, plasma, animal tissue, whole blood, red blood cells and cultured cells samples.||Sensitivity: |0.12umol/L T-GSH||Detection Range: |0.12-30umol/L T-GSH||Test Principle:|GSSG is reduced to GSH by glutathione reductase, and GSH can react with DTNB to produce GSSG and yellow TNB. The amount of total glutathione (GSSG+GSH) determines the amount of yellow TNB. Thus the total glutathione can be calculated by measuring the OD value at 412 nm.
