Magnesium (Mg) is one of the most abundant and essential minerals in mammals. Magnesium is involved in more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body and plays important roles in muscle and nerve functions, heart rhythm, immune system and bone formation. A calmagite dye in the kit forms a colored complex specifically with|magnesium. The intensity of the color, measured at 500nm, is directly proportional to the magnesium concentration in the sample. The optimized formulation minimizes interference by potential substances.||Kit Components:|Reagent A, 1x25ml |Reagent B, 1x25ml|EDTA Solution, 2x1.5ml |Standard, 10mg/dL, 1x1ml||Storage and Stability:|Store powder at 4°C liquid at -20°C. Store other components at 4°C. Stable for at least 6 months For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
