Cytokeratins are a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins and are characterized by a remarkable biochemical diversity, represented in epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides. They range in molecular weight between 40kD and 68kD and isoelectric pH between 4.9-7.8. The individual cytokeratin polypeptides are designated 1 to 20. The cytokeratins are expressed in combinations which characterize the type of epithelium.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.||Recommended Dilutions:|Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.| |Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.

Applications
Product Type: Mab|Isotype: IgG1|Clone No: 2Q1040(AE5)|Host: mouse|Source: rabbit|Concentration: As reported|Form: Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE).|Purity: Purified by ion exchange chromatography.|Immunogen: Rabbit corneal epithelial keratin|Specificity: Recognizes the 64kD polypeptide (cytokeratin 3) of rabbit corneal epithelium and keratin K76 (cytokeratin K2p) of palate epithelium. As such represents an excellent marker for studying corneal epithelial-type differentiation. Also recognizes bovine snout and lip epithelium, as well as a rabbit corneal cell line. |Species Crossreactivity: human, bovine, mouse||Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological.
