Le sel de calcium hydraté de fénoprofène peut avoir une fonction anti-inflammatoire non stéroïdienne. Son mécanisme d'action consiste à inhiber l'activité des enzymes cyclo-oxygénases, en particulier COX-1 et COX-2, qui sont responsables de la production de prostaglandines à partir de l'acide arachidonique. En bloquant ces enzymes, le sel de calcium hydraté de fénoprofène réduit la synthèse des prostaglandines, qui sont impliquées dans la réponse inflammatoire. Au niveau cellulaire, le sel de calcium hydraté de fénoprofène interfère avec la production de médiateurs inflammatoires, ce qui permet de mieux comprendre les mécanismes sous-jacents des processus inflammatoires.
