Tau (Tau Protein, Microtubule-associated Protein, MAP) (BSA & Azide Free) (APC)

Tau proteins are microtubule-associated proteins (MAPs). Alternate splicing of tau mRNA and differential phosphorylation contribute to the heterogeneity of tau. ||Applications:|Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Not suitable for use in Imunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.||Recommended Dilutions: |Immunoprecipitation (Native verified): 2ug/mg protein lysate. Use Protein G.|Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT |Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.||Positive Control: |IMR5 cells, Human T98G glioblastoma cells or Alzheimer’s disease brain tissue ||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. ||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
