-20°CSUMO2 is a ubiquitin-like protein which can be covalently attached to target lysines either as a monomer or as a lysine-linked polymer. SUMO2 does not seem to be involved in protein degradation and may function as an antagonist of ubiquitin in the degradation process. This protein plays a role in a number of cellular processes such as nuclear transport, DNA replication and repair, mitosis and signal transduction. Covalent attachment to its substrates requires prior activation by the E1 complex SAE1-SAE2 and linkage to the E2 enzyme UBE2I, and can be promoted by E3 ligases such as PIAS isoforms 1-4.||Applications:|Suitable for use in Western Blot, FLISA||Recommended Dilution:|FLISA: 1:1,000|Western Blot: 1:100-500||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. ||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
