- For use with the ibidi pump system or any other pump device with luer connectors
- Perfusion of spheroids for fresh media supply during long-term culture and access to spheroid growth kinetics
- Generation of spheroids directly in the wells
- Recovery of spheroids for downstream processing (for example immunofluorescence, histology and biochemical analysis)
- Perfusion of cell monolayers (adherent cells), suspension cells or co-cultures
- On-chip organ configurations with upstream and downstream metabolism
- Live cell imaging and 3D cell aggregate microscopy
- Immunofluorescence staining and high resolution fluorescence microscopy of live and fixed cells and cell aggregates
The principle of µ-Slide spheroid infusion
Optimal nutrition through specialized geometry
The µ-Slide Spheroid Perfusion is a specialized flow-through chamber for the culture of floating 3D aggregates. It consists of 3 x 7 flat-bottomed wells, which are connected by a channel above. Each well forms its own niche, where the specimen is grown. When applying a perfusion through the channel, the fresh medium continuously diffuses to the sample. This ensures optimal nutrition and oxygen diffusion throughout the experiment without exposing the sample to high shear forces. The configuration ensures maximum viability, but with minimum shear stress for spheroids, organoids or tissues.

Experimental workflow
µ-Slide spheroid perfusion is a revolutionary technology that creates ideal conditions for spheroids, organoids or tissues. It also allows their simultaneous culture and imaging. The µ-Slide Spheroid Perfusion has been designed for cell culture under perfusion. It has been shown that cell culture under perfusion :
