Description

CysOx2 is a reaction-based fluorogenic probe for sulfenic acid (Ex/Em: 394/535 nm). CysOx2 can be used for detecting protein cysteine oxidation in living cells[1].

IC50 & Target

Sulfenic acid[1]

In Vitro

CysOx2 (1 mM; 1 h) reacts with H2O2 and produces fluorescence in 50 mM HEPES pH 7.4[1].
CysOx2 is cell permeable[1].
CysOx2 (50 μM; 1 h) shows fluorescence signal in epitope-tagged wild-type EGFR expression HeLa cells, the signal is absent in C797S EGFR expression HeLa cells[1].

MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Help & FAQs
  • Do most proteins show cross-species activity?

Species cross-reactivity must be investigated individually for each product. Many human cytokines will produce a nice response in mouse cell lines, and many mouse proteins will show activity on human cells. Other proteins may have a lower specific activity when used in the opposite species.
