Jacalin is a glycoprotein composed of two subunits 10kD,16kD which bind to O-glycoside-linked oligosaccharides, binding both the mono and di-sialylated forms.||Applications:|Suitable for use in ImA-binding and purification. Other applications not tested.||Activity:|Less than 0.5ug/ml will agglutinate neuraminidase treated human erythrocytes.||Carbohydrate Specificity:|alpha-Galactose||Inhibitory Carbohydrate:|alpha-Galactose||Storage and Stability:|May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
