L'anticorps NOS2 (C-11) est un anticorps monoclonal IgG1 κ de souris NOS2 (également appelé anticorps iNOS ou anticorps NOS2A) qui détecte la protéine NOS2 de souris, de rat et d'origine humaine par WB, IP, IF, IHC(P), FCM et ELISA. L'anticorps NOS2 (C-11) est disponible sous forme d'anticorps anti-NOS2 non conjugué, ainsi que sous plusieurs formes conjuguées d'anticorps anti-NOS2, y compris agarose, HRP, PE, FITC et plusieurs Alexa Fluor® conjugués. Le monoxyde d'azote (NO) possède un large éventail d'activités biologiques et a été impliqué dans des voies de signalisation chez des espèces phylogénétiquement diverses. Les synthases d'oxyde nitrique (NOS), les enzymes responsables de la synthèse du NO, contiennent un domaine oxygénase N-terminal et un domaine réductase C-terminal. L'activité de la NOS nécessite une homodimérisation ainsi que trois cosubstrats (L-arginine, NADPH et O2) et cinq cofacteurs ou groupes prosthétiques (FAD, FMN, calmoduline, tétrahydrobioptérine et hème). Plusieurs isoformes distinctes de la NOS ont été décrites et il a été démontré qu'elles représentaient les produits de trois gènes distincts. Il s'agit notamment de deux formes constitutives de la NOS dépendantes du Ca2+/CaM, notamment la NOS1 (également appelée ncNOS) dont l'activité a été identifiée pour la première fois dans les neurones, et la NOS3 (également appelée ecNOS), identifiée pour la première fois dans les cellules endothéliales. La forme inductible de la NOS, NOS2 (également appelée iNOS), est indépendante du Ca2+ et est exprimée dans un large éventail de types de cellules.
