96 Tests PN: B311189

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S4P8 - Rat Leptin Ab-bead). PN: B311189A. One vial containing 100 µL of anti-rat Leptin conjugated to AimPlex Bead S4P8.

25x Biotin-detection Ab (Rat Leptin Biotin-dAb). PN: B311189B. One vial containing 100 µL of biotinylated anti-rat Leptin.

Lyophilized Standard Mix - Rat Group 2 Panel A, 6-Plex. PN: RG20006. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant rat RANKL, IL-12p40, IL-15, Leptin, NGFb, and VEGF.  Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying Rat Leptin. Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Rat Group 2. To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex Mouse/Rat Basic Kit (PN: P200201) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

For Research Use Only.  Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Assay Specifications:

Description:

Leptin (Accession P50596) is an adipokine primarily produced by adipocytes within the primary and secondary lymphoid tissues and is partially bound to plasma proteins. LEP functions as an adipose tissue regulator, energy stores and the hypothalamus facilitator and the reproductive axis and angiogenesis mediator. Leptin is involved in interactions with insulin and glucocorticoids that affect body weight and eating behavior. It is believed that the proportion of insulin bound to plasma proteins is correlated to human body weight. Abnormal leptin levels can lead to an increased susceptibility to infections by altering Th1 responses
