Alkaline phosphatase (AP) is conjugated to Triticum vulgaris Lectin (WGA) to show the binding of WGA in many applications including Western blotting and ELISA. Alkaline phosphatase is a large protein (140kD) that catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphate groups from a substrate resulting in a colored or fluorescent product. The optimal enzymatic activity of this protein is between pH 8 and 10, and its reaction rate remains linear, improving sensitivity over time.||Source:|Wheat||Inhibitory Carbohydrate:|Chitin Hydrolysate or 500mM N-Acetylglucosamine ||Divalent Ions:|Ca++||Carbohydrate Specificity:|N-Acetylglucosamine||Activity:|Less than 4ug/ml will agglutinate human type O erythrocytes. Less than 1ug/ml will agglutinate neuraminidase-treated erythrocytes. ||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 6 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid.
