A new coronavirus (Covid-19 / 2019-nCoV) close to the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Virus (MERS) was discovered in early January in the city of Wuhan, China.
 
The symptoms of this new coronavirus infection are similar to those of seasonal flu, SARS or MERS. Transmission and incubation time also appear to be similar to other coronaviruses.
